Privacy Policy

A placeholder, in plain words, while Paragraft is in private testing with one writing group. A lawyer reviews it before anyone else is invited. Last changed October 19, 2026.

What Paragraft keeps

  • Your email address, to sign you in and send what you've asked for.
  • Your pen name, color and the short note about you, which the people in your stories see.
  • What you write: scripts, every version of them, comments, suggested edits, alternates, pitches and votes, and who wrote what.
  • The kind of device you're signed in on ("an iPhone"), your time zone for the daily email, and the place you left off reading.
  • If you sign in with Google: your Google account's email. Its name stays private.
  • Problems you report, with the page and device they happened on.

Your appearance choice and a few reminders (like a dismissed hint) are kept only on your own device. Anything you type while the connection is down waits on your device until it saves.

Who holds it for us

  • Supabase: the database, and signing in.
  • Vercel: runs the app.
  • Resend: sends the emails.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • GitHub: the problems you report, and a locked copy of the database made every night and kept for 14 days, in case something goes wrong. Only Paragraft's owner holds the key that opens it.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking, no selling or sharing your information, and no AI trained on your writing. Staff don't read private stories, except when you ask for help with one or the law requires it.

Your choices

  • Account settings › Your data downloads everything you own as one file.
  • Account settings › Notifications chooses what reaches you by email.
  • A story's owner can delete it. Everyone in it is told, and it's kept 30 days, when the owner can restore it and the other writers can read and download it. Then it's erased for good, apart from the nightly backups, which keep it up to 14 more days.
  • To delete your account, email us until the button arrives. What you wrote in other people's stories stays, credited to you, as part of their history.
